According to the Reanimation Package of Reforms research, Ukraine's civil society sector has strengthened its position for the first time in four years. This follows from the Civil Society Organisations Sustainability Index. In 2022, four of the seven indicators for Ukraine improved, while three remained unchanged, the report states. In particular, the indicators of financial viability, service delivery, sector infrastructure, and public image have increased; while the legal environment, organisational capacity, and advocacy have remained at the same level.

Gender, Peace, justice and strong institutions are keys for every country‘s development. #UN and #EU should adopt new initiatives to encourage and engage with governments and NGOs from least developing countries to find multiple paths addressing these goals

An inspiring collection of 18 concrete examples of countries around the world where the UPR made it possible for the UN System to advance the SDGs with human rights at their core :- from abolishing capital punishment and decriminalising defamation in Sierra Leone; to setting up an NPM, under OPCAT, and passing legislation to protect HRDs in Mongolia. Much more could be done - looking ahead - if recommending States, especially when Donors, would fully use the openings created by the UPR to support the strengthening of the national human rights protection system …

Of the 203 First Nations eligible for the Declaration Act Engagement Fund (DAEF), 137 nations, constituting 67%, have actively applied. This demonstrates their dedication to the B.C. Declaration Act Action Plan and the alignment of provincial laws with the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.These nations are making significant strides in consultation and collaboration with the Province of B.C.
